Hyland Software finds a place in InsureTopTech
Insurance Networking News and Financial Insights, a research firm, have listed Hyland Software as a leading technology vendor providing services to the insurance industry on their ranking, InsureTopTech. Of the nine InsureTopTech award categories, Hyland Software was ranked as one of insurance industry's top three vendors in five categories.



Hyland's content management specialties give the company an edge over others, with more than 200 insurance industry customers making use of OnBase ECM solutions. The company placed first in the categories of "Develop/Enhance Products" and "Optimize Workflow and BPM," ranked second in the "Help Provide Quality Customer Care" and "Up-and-Coming" categories, and was also accepted as one among the top three vendors for the "Most Value Add" category.

Established in 1991, Hyland Software, Inc., is the developer of OnBase, which is widely used for optimizing content-driven business processes in insurance enterprises.

Tek-Tools Software to retain Walden Technology Partners, Inc.
Tek-Tools Software will retain partnership links with strategic business development firm Walden Technology Partners, Inc. This move stems from the firm's wanting to establish new strategic partnerships and maintain an industry presence.

Tek-Tools Software, Inc., is an accepted leader in the storage resource management space. The company's headquarters are in Dallas, TX. According to sources, Tek-Tools Software doubled their revenue in each of the last three years. The partnership with Walden Technology Partners would benefit the software company by accelerating growth and providing guidance in setting up additional strategic relationships.

Walden Technology Partners caters to technology firms by providing business-acceleration services. The firm supports clients by developing and expanding strategic partnerships, as well as identifying innovative market opportunities and relationships.

Google introduces translating software
Google recently launched its translation software, allowing net surfers to search the Internet in any language and have the outcome translated in their preferred language. A test version of the software is available at http://translate.google.com/translate_s.

The "cross-language information retrieval" feature of the novel software "in effect, will make the Web universal," says Udi Manber, Google's vice president of engineering. Currently, the software can convert data in English, French, Arabic, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and traditional and simplified Chinese (Mandarin). Work is in progress to make the cross-language search feature able to translate matter to all languages.

Cisco to acquire BroadWare Technologies

A few months back, it bought San Bruno email security start-up IronPort for $830 million.

The Cisco's purchase of BroadWare marks them as a trendsetter in the security market, signifying the union of modern IT security with time-honored physical security. The merchandise, along with the staff of 38, are spread over the offices of 12-year-old BroadWare in Santa Clara and McLean, VA, and will be incorporated into Cisco's market technologies group.

Renesas Technology launches new tool for car navigation systems
Renesas Technology America, Inc., launches a unique SuperH device that enhances the performance and capabilities of car navigation systems. This hardware/software solution can also be utilized in other in-vehicle car information system products also.

Running at speeds up to 600MHz, the system-on-chip (SoC) is a SH7775 32-bit processor. It can achieve performance as high as One GIPS (giga instructions per second) and up to 4.2 GFLOPS (giga floating-point operations per second).

Besides maximizing map drawing and 3-D images, the single-chip solution also comprises a recently created graphics engine and a GPS baseband processing function. With the new device, Renesas intends to improve not only the features and performance, but also highlight the vital concerns of system design and debugging.
