A technical service manager performs unit monitoring, trouble shooting of LAN/WAN/ Desktop and prepares the technical content of the business proposal for the company, establishes and implements plans for delivering IT infrastructure and supports changes to increase effectiveness, speed and quality and the ensure that the implementation of the project is in compliance with the company’s requirements.
A technical service manager provides leadership and direction to the team for process planning and is directly responsible for different areas within testing, such as defect management, test ware management, test estimation, test reporting, test metrics, testing techniques. He/she should define and introduce new or enhanced methods for current and future requirements and understand the business or technical drivers form a client’s perspective. The position of a technical service manager requires knowledge in programming language, database, operating system, test automation and performance testing, project management tools, MS office, domain knowledge, Process Orientation i.e. CMM, CMMI, PCMMi, Six Sigma etc and should be experienced in managing large teams along with possessing good analytical and communication skills.
