Collectors Universe currently has an open position for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / SQL Server DBA. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong experience with business intelligence and reporting along with strong general DBA skills.

Job Duties:
* Manage, maintain, and create reports using SSRS and a data warehouse
* Full responsibility for maintenance of multiple data-warehouse databases and cubes
* Create, monitor, and manage DTS/SSIS jobs and packages.
* Perform and/or coordinate DBA activities on our corporate MS-SQL servers.
* Monitor performance, capacity, service levels, and error logs.
* Create and maintain backup, restore, and other maintenance plans.
* Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary ('metadata').
* Control access permissions and privileges.
* Ensure that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
* Conduct capacity planning.
* Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff, to ensure database integrity and security.
* Install new database applications.
* Migrate changes to production environment
* SQL development and performance tuning
* Manage SQL replication across multiple database instances and environments

Education and Experience:
* Strong Microsoft SQL Server knowledge and experience (MCDBA or similar certification/experience).
* Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), data warehousing, and advanced reporting
* Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
* Computer Science degree or related/equivalent experience.

Experience with JetReports Jet Enteprise (jetreports.com) or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) is a plus.
