Position Summary:
The Client Technology Manager is the technical lead and escalation point for desktop services at our client sites. He/she is responsible for overseeing the day to day activity for a team of engineers. This includes daily support incidents, server troubleshooting, hardware/software installation and upgrades, new infrastructure build outs and relocations, as well as mentoring engineers, performing performance reviews, and ensuring that engineers are following best practices and standards.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages Client Site Technology
• Responsible for the build-out and maintenance of the entire client infrastructure
• Acts as technical escalation for engineers and helpdesk
• Acts as technical PM for new client build-outs and upgrades to existing clients
• Identifies areas to improve clients’ technical environment and partners with CRMs to make recommendations to the clients
• Reviews any new process, procedure or new product roll outs
• Configures AD, Exchange, BES, Citrix, RSA, ISA, as well as switch and firewalls
• Participates in on call rotations
• Produces reports and reviews utilization numbers each week
• Reviews utilization numbers
Staff Management and Professional Development
• Interviews, hires and retains top talent
• Professionally develops a team of systems engineers, in both the technical and non-technical competencies
• Monitors staff’s ConnectWise entries and utilization requirements weekly
• Sets personal utilization goal requirements for each engineer
• Works with each employee to set short-term (quarterly) and long-range (1-3 years) goals (utilize Scorecards)
• Conducts semi-annual and annual performance reviews
• Conducts one/one meetings with staff members on a regular basis
• Conducts bi-weekly staff meetings
• Creates an environment of effective communication & collaboration
• Trains on ECI standards for build-outs
• Mentors on ECI’s best practices

Position Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent field and/or 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of end user support
• Minimum 5 years of effectively managing a team or process
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Technical Requirements:
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory and Exchange 2003/2007
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008
• Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.x-5.x
• Citrix Metaframe 4.5 and XenApp 5.0
• Barracuda Spam filtering and Trend IMSS
• Strong Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls
• Deploying Enterprise level networks with Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls, and catalyst switches
• Email and Spam troubleshooting
• Building Servers (Dell PowerEdge and HP Proliant)
• Data Backup and Recovery with Symantec Backup Exec or similar Enterprise Software
• Symantec Antivirus or similar Enterprise Software
• Financial Industry Experience including familiarity with market vendor applications
• Experience with Linux or Solaris
• Scripting knowledge (VB, Batch, WSH)
• Familiar with Storage Area Networks (Netapp, EMC) and Virtualization (Vmware, XenServer)
Work Conditions:
• Ability to work in an independent environment
• Ability to work under a moderate noise level (i.e. working on an open floor with printers, telephones, and computers)
• Ability to travel (infrequently) for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary
• Willing to work extra hours as needed (including late nights and weekends
• Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
