Location: Simsbury, CT
Duration: 1 year with a possible extension
Description/Required Skills:
Data Warehousing Lead (IT Project Manager- Advance)
Developing in a Data Warehouse environment included but not limited to. (Business Objects, ETL, Informatica, SAS)
- Must have technical expertise and be involved in portions of the analysis phase of the application development cycle.
- Works with little supervision on the analysis, design, coding and testing of components of larger systems.
- Interacts with end users to develop detailed specifications from which code will be written.
- Develops project plans and reports progress to Client's management.
- Understanding of relational database environments.
- Experience with the Business Objects and Oracle toolsets using PL/SQL, SQL*Plus and Business Objects WEBI and full-client tools.
- Proven technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance.
- Interface with business customers, business analysts, data analysts, other developers and IT support staff to complete assignments.
- Must demonstrate aptitude to become a strong technical leader.
- Oversee technical deliverables for invest and maintenance projects through the software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build and implementation.
- Collaborate with project team members to enforce development guidelines and best practices.
- Candidate should be highly data analytic, have good leadership skills to delegate the work to onshore and offshore partners and drive the development efforts with focused delivery mindset.
- P&C Insurance of Commercial, Personal Lines or Claims a plus.
