We are searching for a Network Engineer with in-depth knowledge of current technologies required to support an evolving business environment and skill in meeting requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Candidate must have extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches with emphasis on configuration, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting networks in the operation of an SLA.The Network Engineer position oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems Strong understanding of other infrastructure components such as: Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Citrix, VMware, storage solutions, Main Frame and security. Expert level skills in advanced engineering and administration of Cisco multi-protocol routers, Cisco multi-layer switches, WAN technologies, firewalls, packet analyzers, network security devices, VPNs, IP/ARP/MAC/Spanning-tree concepts, and network management systems. Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with Operations, Support and Engineering resources. Excellent troubleshooting, problem management, communication, and written documentation skills. Highly desirable candidates will also have several, but not necessarily all, of the following: 4 year degree in Technology or equivalent professional experience; Appropriate Cisco network certification; Knowledge of regulatory requirements; Experience administering a disaster recovery plan and in a data center environment. Experience working with network management tools: Ciscoworks, Wireshark/TCPdump, debug commands. Experience working with high-availability configurations and scripting for automatic generation of configurations. Experience with remote access solutions such as SCCM and load balancers.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Supports administration of servers and server clusters, and manage system back-up and restore protocol.
Supports network and computing infrastructure.
Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
Job Requirements :
Education requirements
: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience Requirements
: Minimum of six years of “hands-on” successful IT Networking experience with projects ranging from $500K to $5M in value.
Must possess strong technology insight and experience implementing maintenance strategy with integration across multiple technologies.
Hands-on experience in building and/or deploying systems across Service-oriented Architecture including applications, network hardware components and network security.
Experience installing, configuring, maintaining network services, equipment and devices.
Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
Expert knowledge of systems engineering methodologies, and networking essential
Expert knowledge of network protocols including RIP, OSPF, BGP, and IPSEC
Expert knowledge of network security including filtering and access control lists, Firewalls and VPN required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including advanced technical writing skills
Experience with network system integration, network management, and IT support such as managing user accounts, permissions and email.
Familiarity with protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, SOAP, SOA, Web Services a plus
Experience with Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam and Patch Management
Excellent project management skills a plus
Experience with FIPS, IA and other DoD or Federal certifications a plus
Knowledge of wireless LAN and wireless broadband technology, such as 802.11, WiMax, and EVDO.
Good understanding of related security technologies a plus·
Candidate must be able to obtain Security Clearance

Train as necessary for in-house personnel to maintain and reconfigure equipment on occasions.
