As a Leader, will participate in all programs and enforce all policies relating to performance evaluations and career development for the Quality Assurance staff.
Works with the Site Director and other Competency Leads to help determine new, creative ways to employ teams on projects and distribute responsibilities.
Communication
Handle difficult personnel situations, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
Promote Collaborative CDSC through speaking engagements at industry conferences and involvement in local business organizations.
Organizational Responsibilities
Responsible for the growth and development of Quality Assurance staff, and alignment of staff with projects, development of collateral, development and evolution of the QA training program, aggregation of work products, etc.
Oversee and champion best practices for the Quality Assurance function across multiple concurrent delivery teams.
Create and execute test plans and scripts to validate functionality.
Track and identify new opportunities to improve our Quality Assurance methodology and training offerings.
Write, review, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures.
Improve and monitor defect tracking and reporting.
Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify recent, existing or potential issues.
Collaborate with developers in application testing such as system, unit, regression, load and acceptance tests.
Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines.
Participate in training needs and assist in training tools for team members.
Provide direct mentorship in QA methodologies, practices and techniques.
Manage the development of Quality Assurance staff by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each staff member’s career interests.
Provide concise weekly status reports to the Organization and Direct Manager.
Educational/Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related Discipline.
Experience of managed staff of at least 20 people with the ability to grow to 50 .
Minimum of 10 years of experience in related discipline.
Must exhibit a highly organized approach to work.
Detailed knowledge in testing concepts, tools, manual testing, test automation and methodologies.
Strong deductive reasoning.
