SQL Database Administrator

Profile

Informative Research is a top provider of mortgage risk solutions to lenders and brokers. We are looking to complement our team with the addition of an experienced SQL Database Administrator.
Responsibilities:
Administration of production MS SQL Server 2008 R2/2012 databases, capacity planning, database creation & maintenance, backup & recovery, and security
Support Database access to end users for analysis & reporting, and support end users with documentation of data schema
Define database structures to ensure optimum performance
Create standards for databases, assist development teams with data models and review all data models prior to their being built into the database
Assist development teams with any SQL consulting needs
Database server capacity planning
Respond to database related alerts and escalations
Qualifying Factors:
5 years experience administering large production MS SQL Server 2008
R2/2012 Databases; developing stored procedures and triggers; maintaining
SQL Server in clustering environment with database monitoring, tuning and disaster recovery planning
Programming languages and scripting languages a plus (VB, ADO)
Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Familiarity with end user tools such as Microsoft Access
Willingness to provide after-hours support
Possess excellent oral, written and business communications skills
Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science
