Our Information Technology Division currently has a full time opportunity for a Senior SharePoint Developer / Senior Technology Engineer.

Organization Overview:

The mission of the Information Technology Division is to provide the information technology services needed to carry out the mission of the Laboratory.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

*Assist business and scientific SharePoint site owners with the design of the site*s information architecture, layout, long-term document & content management strategies, list data integration, permission design, workflow automation, and InfoPath Forms design.
*Develop custom list fields, master pages, content types, web parts, event receivers, and timer jobs for SharePoint 2010 using C# and Visual Studio.
*Package their custom code in native SharePoint solutions to be activated as custom features at the site, web application, and farm levels.
*Educate the site owners on the appropriate use of SharePoint Designer to customize the user interface, lists, workflows, and external content types.
*Assist with the configuration of SharePoint 2010 search scopes, content sources, and managed metadata term sets to support the customer*s functional requirements for their sites.
*Participate in code and design reviews of their proposed solutions, and assist in the performance, stress, exception, security, and acceptance testing of their code.
*Write the requisite supporting documentation for their code in accordance with established group standards for long-term supportability.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or a closely related field.
*At least (8) years of relevant experience with at least (6) years of ASP.NET experience using C# and Microsoft SQL Server. At least (3) years* experience with MOSS 2007 or SharePoint 2010 solution development, including the creation of custom SharePoint features & solutions, web parts, and SharePoint Designer workflows.
*Demonstrable expertise with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
*Demonstrable expertise with SharePoint Business Data Catalog and/or Business Connectivity Services.
*Working knowledge of Office Web Applications and SQL Server Reporting Services.
*Experience working with team-based Subversion source code repositories desired.
*jQuery expertise desired.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Candidate will be expected to be available for scheduled after hour coverage as well as be able to be on-site within 1 hour to support emergency after hour coverage.
