Senior Technology Project Manager

Profile

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technology Project Manager to join our Planning and Project Management team. Our team coordinates a wide variety of technology projects that support Prometric?s global computer testing network, including projects related to scheduling and registration; exam delivery; data management; results processing; financial management; and large client implementations. We interact daily with teams from around the globe including our offices in Japan, India, the Netherlands, England, Ireland, and the United States to deliver high quality, high impact technology solutions. We use Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies to drive to project success and deliver business value to every functional area in the organization. Our ideal team member will be comfortable managing large, cross-team projects; will understand global business; can communicate with internal and external customers; and can apply professional project management techniques to deliver to a plan of their own making.



Works with the Planning team to develop project concept, benefit statement, requirements, and estimates for capital expense or operation expense funding requests.
Develops and maintains detailed Project Management Plans that specify the project overview; stakeholders; and plans to manage risk, scope, schedule, resources, finances, testing, communications, and measurements.
Identifies and manages risks throughout the lifecycle of the project (e.g. mitigation plans, contingency plans, etc.).
Tracks, controls, and reports on all financial aspects of the project.
Develops, tracks, and maintains detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project Server.
Communicates on key aspects of the project to internal and external stakeholders using a variety of methods, including management of project-specific Microsoft SharePoint site.
Collaborates with Software Development, Testing, and Engineering teams to ensure adequate staffing to meet project schedule and deliverables.
Plans and coordinates large-scale project deployments.
Adheres to and ensures compliance with Technology policies, procedures, standards, and Software Development Life Cycle.
Ultimately responsible for execution and delivery of high quality products within the ?project management triangle? of resources, features, and time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar technical major with related course work or training in Project Management
10 or more years as a Technology Project Manager
Project Management Professional (PMP), Project , or similar certification
Experience in formal project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft SharePoint
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with Team Foundation Server a plus
Experience with formal process improvement approaches such as CMMI or ITIL
Knowledgeable in the details of building software systems using a well-defined software development lifecycle.
Familiar with broad range of technology topics including web design and development; programming languages; databases; operating systems; data communications; and security.
Able to liaise between disparate functional groups including clients, business users, and technology teams
