Job Responsibilities:
Candidates should have experience designing, acquiring, and implementing mission critical systems infrastructure in a width range of architecture models such as on-premise data centers, high security, enclaves, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, private-clouds, CoLo, etc.
Working within a team, you will be responsible for technology infrastructure architecture, design, acquisition, implementation and testing. Such components include but are not limited to SAN, NAS, Data Center Design and operations, Colocation, DR and BC.
Required experience:
installation, configuration and maintenance of application, and database server hardware, management of large storage area networks (Netapp), server virtualization, data and database replication and experience with colocation design and implementation.
Strong understanding of network security and TCP/IP network design, MS Windows based systems, related services and active directory configuration and deployment.
Also requires strong understanding of redundant, fault tolerant, fault resilient and mirrored systems with respect to hardware and OS/DB software design.
Ensure the proper maintenance of our 4 data center facilities to include: environmental control system, backup power supply systems
Develop, organize and review data center operations procedures.
Install, maintain, monitor, analyze and troubleshoot data center equipment and software in support of data center operations. Support production, test and development operations environments including multiple servers, networking, batch processing, backup and related activities. Ensure assigned issues are brought to a complete and appropriate closure.
Complete project-based work, as required.
Monitor the health of all production, administrative, test/development and co- located computing systems including automated systems monitoring and patching.
Responsible for setting up new computing systems and the oversight of operating system updates and patches.
Answer staff and client questions in person, via email and via phone.
Organize, prioritize, track and manage system support requests.
Initiate contact with support vendors to coordinate preventive maintenance and report problems.
Maintain confidentiality of data throughout.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Some Travel required which may include International site visits
Skills Prerequisites:
Senior Systems/Network Engineer with 7-10 years experience. This motivated team player will be well-rounded, detail oriented, process-oriented, a self- starter, innovative and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person should have excellent problem solving skills. As well as possess the following attributes, experience and skills:
Systems Administrator / Engineer Qualifications
7 years of experience in Windows Engineering and Systems Administration
Some relevant experience with FISMA Low/Moderate environment
Certification in Microsoft or demonstrated experience is required with specialization in AD design, DNS and DHCP
Netapp and VMWARE experience managing over 100 virtualized systems dispersed geographically. Experience designing next generation computing environment to support internal business needs.
Experience creating, maintaining and following SOPs
SCCM/SCOM system administration
Linux/Unix experience a plus
Experience building and maintaining a CMDB is a plus
