The Ask Partner Network (APN) is looking for an architect level Sr. Software Engineer for a new business initiative to lead, guide and mentor. The product combines a client / server application framework to intelligently deliver software to millions of customers daily. Responsibilities
Works within a team to design and developer products that are efficient, scalable, maintainable, and accurately meet the needs of the business.
Works within a team to develop, refactor, and continuously improve various APN software platforms. Meets aggressive deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Facilitates communication with members of both technical and business teams through
appropriate documentation and training.
Quickly and accurately analyzes medium-scale project requests for feasibility, risk,
and level of effort.
Assists in the release of APN's projects in the production environment.
Participate in the resolution of challenging and demanding problems within the production
environment.
Assists with customer inquiries and resolution of problems.
Innovation: Actively contributes to lessons-learned exercises for completed projects. Suggests new
technologies and approaches, often demonstrating and championing their use.
Desired skills and experience:
7 years of recent Object-Oriented programming experience using Java in a professional environment.
Java web application development utilizing Spring frameworks.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
Familiarity with open source project development including Apache, Tomcat and Spring, etc.
Experience with MySQL or equivalent RDBMS database.
Experience with Junit, Maven.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery or other frameworks.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing team environment and meet tight deadlines.
Able to mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance.
Strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
Must be personable and professional. Must be a team-player.
Bachelor's degree (CS, EE or Math preferred) or equivalent work experience.
