Profile

Our client is seeking a WebSphere Application Server Administrator, who also has Java, Java EE and UI development skills and experience. The candidate will responsible for enhancing various IT applications in the Provisioning Services team at the client and upgrading and maintaining various WAS and ESB environments used by the team.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, install, upgrade, configure and maintain WAS (WebSphere Application Server), WSRR (Web Services Registry and Repository) and MQ to support the Provisioning Systems applications
Administer and support various production and non-production environments utilizing the following WebSphere suite of products WAS, WSRR and WebSphere MQ.
Develop new web services and enhancements to existing provisioning services per business needs.
Support the UI re-architecture project through development of client and server components under the direction of the project architect.
Use the application performance monitoring tool, CA Wily Introscope, to monitor and tune application performance, problem investigation and resolution in coordination with the development and support teams
Create and maintain support documentation for on-call and support personnel to monitor and troubleshoot production issues
Manage own time and time of others while working in coordination with various teams like database administrators, system administrators, network administrators and other IT teams
Provide on-call support as required

Requirements:
5 years of experience with and advanced knowledge of WebSphere Application Server ND 7.x or higher required
Good understanding of web server load balancing concepts and experience with highly available distributed environments
Experience and/or knowledge of CA Wily Introscope, Siteminder and Jython scripting
Thorough understanding of Java/Java EE concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, JNDI, etc) is required. 3 years of Java programming experience desired.
WebSphere MQ 6.0/7.0 working knowledge highly preferred
Experience with or knowledge of UI development using 5, CSS3 and AJAX preferred
Experience with WebSphere MQ 7, WebSphere Message Broker 7.0, DataPower and Web Services Registry and Repository 7.0 preferred, but not required
Experience with Oracle database 11g
Experience with working on UNIX platforms and good UNIX scripting skills
