Senior Technical Writer Jobs
A senior technical writer carries out research and develops content for technical publications and writes or edits hardcopy and online documents. It is the responsibility of a senior technical writer to ensure that the documents are accurate technically and mechanically. He/she creates and manages documents schedules. A senior technical writer works in coordination with staff in the Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Technical Support, and Product Management departments to define and produce the required documentation products and helps to define and implement the technical documentation of the departments of the company. This position demands excellent command over English language along with very good observation power and an eye for detail.
A bachelor’s degree in any field is required for this position along with knowledge of
FrameMaker and technologies like HTML and XML. A senior technical writer should be proficient in using standard computer hardware and business software applications and should possess knowledge of networking (IP) protocols. This work demands very good communication skills with experience in documentation research, writing and editing work and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Captivate.
