Senior Computer Operator Jobs
A senior computer operator is responsible for controlling and monitoring all the operations of a computer system. The functions of a senior computer operator consist of monitoring or running batch jobs as instructed, monitoring system tasks and informing the seniors of any abnormality, taking the backup of data at regular intervals and the hard copies of important and required documents. A senior computer operator is responsible for monitoring multiple computers, peripherals and networks. He/she is responsible for establishment of computer equipment room by ensuring the correct and proper installation of systems and wires and also performing various administrative tasks as assigned by supervising personnel e.g. answering phones, making copies, sending faxes, performing inventories, etc. It is the responsibility of a senior computer operator to maintain records regarding the creation or use of tapes, disk, printers and equipment repair and ensuring that the computer room and the other related area are secure and clean.
The minimum qualification required for this position is a high school diploma preferably with a vocational training in computer programming or computer operations along with possessing good communication skills and knowledge of MS Office.
