Profile

This position requires experience in writing aircraft/commodity technical manuals in compliance with TMCR and military specifications. Individuals must have experience with all styles of manuals such as maintenance, illustrated parts breakdowns (IPBs), job guides, flight manuals, checklists, et al. Requires review of drawings and other data relative to operation maintenance, and service of equipment. Individual must have capability to edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers and illustrators. Must be knowledgeable of MIL-STD-38784, MIL-PRF-38807, MIL-PRF-38804, MIL-PRF-32216, MIL-PRF-5096, MIL-DTL-87929, and 00-5-1.
Job Requirements :
5 years experience in production of Technical Orders. Excellent grammar and proof-reading skills. Ability to work well independently or in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Mandatory:
Thorough knowledge of Military Specifications and Standards. Specifically, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-PRF-38807, MIL-PRF-5096, MIL-PRF-38804, MIL-DTL-87929, TO 00-5-1. Ensures superior quality.
Desirable:
SGML knowledge. Adapts well to change.
