Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership to the team responsible for assisting in developing strategies, and characterizing Wi-Fi behavior in new Comcast products; execute Radio Frequency (RF)/Wireless designs, installations, commissioning, and testing; create and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); perform automation of wireless test features; troubleshoot wireless design issues; lead and contribute to engineering investigations which includes identifying, reproducing, and resolving product defects; collaborate with Product and Development teams to identify product and technical requirements; communicate with tool development teams to make the best use of automation for new test features introduced; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with emphasis towards product testability and verification; assist in developing Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies; assist in identifying viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality; assist in the identification and resolution of problems and defects; initiate investigation processes for issues in software, and identify and reproduce bugs or defects; drive issues and improvements to resolution; and guide and mentor junior level engineers.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; and five (5) years of experience executing Radio Frequency (RF)/Wireless designs, installations, commissioning, and testing; creating and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); performing automation of wireless test features; and troubleshooting wireless design issues; of which two (2) years must include testing 802.11 wireless technology and protocols and network routing protocols; testingwireless devices including wireless AP's/routers and/orwireless extenders; debugging and troubleshooting Wi-Fi installs, and of which one (1) year must include utilizing tools such as Wireshark/ Network Analyzer / Spectrum Analyzer; and test planning, test case review and test case development strategies.
