Job Purpose/Summary:

This position is responsible for the design, development and delivery of strategic learning and development programs in support of the IT business and talent strategy. This includes overall program management for learning curriculum that is relevant and necessary for IT Team Members to be effective at their jobs. Specifically, this program involves developing learning curriculum for Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Testing Methodologies, and Governance Learning Profiles. Key objectives in all curriculum development is to drive accelerated integration into teams and to be able to immediately utilize all learning experiences on the job following the training programs. This role requires cross functional collaboration and engagement with all levels of the IT organization to both educate on the programs and benefits while also identifying ongoing areas of focus and opportunity. Key relationships also including working with Learning Profile subject matter experts to build programs and ensure quality and priority of learning journeys, and also ensuring learning best practices applied to the experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with all levels of the IT organization to diagnose needs and provide solutions that increase team member performance, accelerate integration into the team and drive overall effectiveness.

Design and deliver high quality learning and development programs, tools, resources and activities.

Build engaging learning experiences that focus on team member behaviors and driving needed change in behavior as a result of the training and/or curriculum. Ensure team members are able to walk away with clarity on how to utilize the learning experience to be more effective in their job.

Work with vendors for content delivery and understand “canned” programs while working with vendors/instructors to “Tysonize” the learning experience. Team members should be able to walk away from a vendor/instructor led training experience and immediately put that learning to use at Tyson.

Facilitate select content as needed and coach instructors and business leaders on delivery. Ensure instructors deliver with quality.

Use technology industry best practices, external networking and advanced learning methods to deliver innovative programs and tools.

Establish key metrics to evaluate ROI and program effectiveness.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

Required

8 plus years relevant experience in IT, preferred in at least one of the following: Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Testing Methodologies and/or IT Governance

Proven experience designing learning and educational curriculum

Preferred

2 years designing learning and educational curriculum for all delivery formats (in-person instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, virtual on-demand, workshops, interactive activities/challenges)

1 years of experience with modern learning approaches; e.g. activities, gamification, badging, workshops

Computer Skills:

Advanced MS Office skills; ability to use variety of technology platforms to facilitate learning

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills both in person and virtually.

Comfortable influencing all levels of the organization including senior management

Special Skills:

High sense of urgency and self-starter who is resourceful and capable of evaluating business situations and rapidly establishing action plans.

IT experience in at least 1 of the following areas: Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Testing Methodologies and/or IT Governance

Proven experience in conceptualizing, defining and leading large scale programs across a matrix organization.

Experience measuring and communicating the value of learning and ROI.

Team player with strong collaboration skills.

Demonstrates creativity and ability to drive innovative, interactive solutions.
