Position Overview
In this position, you will be part of a nationwide 10 person IT Procurement team nationwide within the Siemens Corporate Indirect Material Supply Chain Management Organization. You will interact with all levels of suppliers as you work to strategically manage your assigned commodities and preferred supplier partners. You will need to build and continue to strengthen relationships with internal Siemens customers in Information Technology, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and other areas, along all levels of the hierarchy. Furthermore, there will be interactions across country – so you will be working with Siemens colleagues in North and South America and Europe. Your primary goal will be to own your assigned commodities and be the procurement expert on your cross functional team. The commodity strategy that you will build, implement, and own will ensure a competitive buying position for Siemens through understanding market conditions, leveraging supplier relationships, and coordinating demand within Siemens local, regional, and global requirements.
You will report to the Director of IT Procurement for the Americas. Functional reporting to a Purchasing Council could also be required.
Responsibilities

Manage Siemens Print Services, including but not limited to strategy, supplier relationship, continued roll-out and improvements, and open issues
Support IT procurement for required Siemens businesses including but not limited to: Project support around Software, Hardware, Software Engineering, Managed Communications.
Identify Siemens Americas’ direct IT procurement commodity strategy and implement throughout responsible countries; ensure alignment with overall global commodity strategy.
Analyze, identify, and coordinate efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives and programs to drive cost savings opportunities, supply base optimization, cash flow improvement and eAuctions. Track and input results into appropriate Siemens tracking tools.
Provide customer service to key customers and end-users by reporting target achievement results in applicable tools/systems on a periodic basis, as well as, interfacing with key support groups to resolve issues
Assist in overall procurement process - supplier quotations, professionally and strategically support Siemens RFx process with preferred suppliers, approve shopping carts, etc.
Manage and/or assist in contracting process – Negotiate prices, terms and quality requirements with domestic and international suppliers for high-value, technically complex products and services (IT Hardware, Software, Telecommunications and IT Consulting & Services).
Up front involvement (team member) in all large projects. Actively participates on teams as the Procurement owner/expert to lead sourcing initiatives for required products and services
Manage supplier performance through service level agreements and KPIs
Manage Siemens internal customer relationships with the IT function.
Bring supplier innovation to Siemens internal customers
Other duties as assigned, duties & responsibilities may be rebalanced at any time

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a similar field. IT degree with appropriate business experience will also be considered.
Five plus years of experience in a related field from a Sr. Buyer to a commodity manager. 
Proven knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement Market Analysis (PMA), and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Demonstrated strategic negotiation and problem-solving skills, including experience with large international companies
Experience in intercultural relations or within an international environment
Proven high level customer service orientation, teamwork, quality, and change orientation skills
Ability to work independently and with ambiguity
Strong knowledge of IT, procurement markets, conditions, and processes
Ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically in both oral and written formats across all levels of hierarchy.
Advanced skills using Microsoft Office 365
10%-15% travel required

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Foreign languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese)
MRP/ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc...) demand planning
Experience in IT negotiations
IT Hardware & Software Experience highly desired
CPSM certification
Qualified
