The Role
The IT Project Manager is responsible for setting the team's deadlines and ensuring a successful outcome by planning, initiating and managing the team. The IT Project Manager will also serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects and direct any approved projects aligned with Thermon's goals and vision with a keen eye on enterprise resources.

What You Will Do

Daily project management for major business transformation project from AX2012 R3 to MS D365 and future project phases and transformations.
communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Proactively communicate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
Track project milestones, deliverables, project costs, project budget, and manage vendor invoices
Oversee and manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans

Qualifications

5-7 years' direct work experience in an IT project management capacity, including all aspects of project initiation, planning, development, risk and budget management, execution, and delivery
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
Strong knowledge of AX2012 and Dynamics 365
Experience managing software development related projects in Agile and Waterfall environments
Experience with enterprise applications, such as CRM, and ETL processes
Some experience with database and operating systems, specifically SQL Server, and Windows
Familiarity with communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft O365,
Experience with project management tools like MS Project
Project management certification preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
