Position OverviewBoeing Defense, Space, and Security, Space & Launch program is looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer (Level 3) with proven experience in sub-system and system level integration, verification and validation of hardware and software platforms. This position will coordinate and support the design, build, integration and validation of development and operational systems at the Starfire Optical Range (SOR) ground telescope site on Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), New Mexico.This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Perform systems engineering duties including requirements analysis, error budgeting, design synthesis, trade studies, root cause and corrective action, and integration and test planning and execution.

(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience,
Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with
experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard. Basic (Required) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.Experience performing system analytical and performance studies; definition analysis; prototype development, modeling and simulation, and integration, test and evaluation of subsystems and systems.Experience in all aspects of laboratory testing, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data and analyzing results. Experience generating technical reports on findings, providing system data collection and analysis, and conducting technical documentation reviews.
Preferred (Desired) QualificationsActive U.S. Top Secret Security ClearanceExperience leading and directing a
multifunctional engineering team in the development/design or assessment
of complex systems. optical/opto-electronic system/subsystem level
engineering products. Experience with performance analysis tools (i.e MATLAB).Knowledge of optical and mechanical design tools (i.e. Zemax, Solidworks).Knowledge of telescopes and opto-electronic systems.Experience with software programming languages.
