Infosys is seeking a Functional Test Lead,

This position's primary responsibility will be to provide functional expertise and coordinate for day to day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will work side by side with Developers and business partners to ensure expected quality software is built to serve our customers and clients. Candidate will be responsible for understanding the business requirements, test application components to support the requirement and enabling testing organization to certify the application.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of San Antonio, TX/Addison, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Experience in Functional Testing

Preferred Qualifications:

4 years of experience in software testing and knowledge of end to end Software application development cycle.

Ability and experience in creating test plans, planning and documenting test scripts.

Ability and experience in executing tests and troubleshoot issues to narrow the resulting problem.

Execute manual testing of Web-based application and Database.

Database Query Knowledge

Worked on Test Management Tools (Quality Center & JIRA Preferable)

Ability and experience in documenting defects and issues while providing due diligence.

Demonstrated understanding of agile and the tester's role in the process.

Support testing activities for independent and integrated releases

Support BAU Regression and regression maintenance work which is performed for every release

Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC.

Internal drive to accomplish tasks without constant direction.

Innate curiosity - always asking questions.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
