installs, configures and troubleshoots computer desktop systems and associated

assemblies. Provides support to operational computer desktops by performing the

following duties.

 

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities include the

following.  Other duties may be

assigned. 

 

Assembles and configures desktop

components and associated peripherals.

 

Sets up and maintains basic desktop

hardware systems and provides assistance to the ICT Department Supervisor.

 

Performs desktop troubleshooting to

isolate and diagnose common hardware and software problems.

 

Upgrades desktop hardware and software

components as required.

 

Provides users with desktop technical

support as well as support with phones, printers, copiers and plotters.

 

Responds to needs and questions of users

concerning their use of desktop resources.

 

Installs and tests necessary software

and hardware.

Education/Experience:

College sophomore level or higher with

degree declared in Information Technology or related field.
