Job Description

s the Sr. Manager of Application Development, you will be responsible for Product/Application development for the EDW team. The Sr. Advisor, Application Development will be accountable for delivering comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and incrementally move the data warehouse to the future state. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and exceptional follow through.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical oversight for the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of DW solutions along with required artifacts including design documents, process manuals.

• Create new software products, modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance using datawarehousing technologies.

• Define business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Provide technical requirement specification documents for design and development teams. Facilitate JAD and requirements gathering sessions with all stakeholders.

• Perform data profiling of source data to ascertain keys, uniqueness, nullability, and frequency. Also define data mapping requirements (source to target mapping).

• Expertise in Data modelling

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of Data Warehouse best practices, Teradata, and Informatica ETL.

• Ability to solve issues by coordinating across cross-functional areas by interfacing between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.

• Provide solutions to enable analytics users by applying mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems in scientific or applied fields.

• Work with business users to understand the current state of information available in the upstream systems in the organization and identify the future needs based on the analysis of business requirements, current state environments, gap analysis and future state warehousing implementations.

• Works closely with architects, project managers, and cross-functional teams for estimation, impact analysis, and coordination between different teams in the warehouse.

• Coordinate with internal/External customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Provide support to QA teams during the test execution phase of the project.

• Mentor and train other team members on technical understanding, business issues, productivity gains, alternate solutions, and risk mitigation

• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and workload planning skills

• Experience in configuration management and software release principles as well as change management concepts

• Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities as well as exceptional customer service orientation

• Experience in managing medium to large sized projects relating to the delivery of applications or application changes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience in leveraging Managed Services or 3rd party resources to meet application support requirements

• Lead the development team to set clear expectations of milestones and goals.

• Represent Data Warehouse in meetings for owned projects

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 8 years' experience in Data Warehousing.

• 4 years' experience in Project/Product owner role.

• 8 years of Teradata & Informatica experience or related application.

• 8 years' experience working in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization.

• Working experience with Agile and SDLC methodology.

• Ability to interact and work effectively with technical & non-technical levels within the organization.

• Ability to drive clarity of purpose and goals during release and planning activities

• Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail.

• PBM experience.

• Healthcare experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant work experience
