Function of the Position:

The incumbent in this position will be focused on system support and analysis to DAI’s overseas projects and corporate departments. The systems analyst will leverage his/her knowledge of business processes, operations, and information technology to design more efficient and effective project and corporate system solutions for DAI. S/he will also support the Redesign effort, DAI’s current corporate initiative to upgrade its project management system, TAMIS, (Technical and Administrative Management Information System) with the goal of moving the system to a new platform that is web and mobile enabled. This position reports to the Associate Manager, Information Technology and will work closely with other system analysts and administrators, DAI’s overseas project staff, as well as DAI’s corporate departments. This is a full-time professional position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

System Design, Configuration, Support and Reporting

Provide primary support to a portfolio of project systems. Travel to the DAI project location and customize and configure (TAMIS) to ensure it reflects project specific information management and reporting needs and meets both corporate and client requirements. This assignment involves extensive in person system requirements gathering; requirements analysis and system design, system development and testing and group or one-on-one in person training.

For project management systems, investigate and resolve application issues and provide support and troubleshooting to minor issues; work with senior developers on resolving larger application issues.

Identify modifications needed to existing processes in the system.

Perform minor coding to resolve reported issues or work on their resolution with developers by providing clear requirements documentation for each issue.

Learn and understand system data structures and help the team analyze corporate and project reporting needs and find the best platform and solution. Help develop a reports library that can be implemented across DAI’s projects.

Complete ad-hoc analysis of reporting or functionality needs as requested by DAI home office project management

Systems Analysis and Testing

Contribute to system analysis of corporate and project needs in support of ongoing TAMIS redesign to ensure that the new system is streamlined, user friendly and supports DAI’s corporate vision and best practices.

Serve as a key liaison between DAI’s IT development team and project and corporate user to identify their system or reporting needs. Document these as requirements and work with development teams to identify the best platform or reporting tool to address them.

Assist in functional testing of upgraded TAMIS and collaboration with developers to resolve identified issues. Testing in multiple platforms (web, Notes, mobile);

User Training

Provide training, assistance and advice to DAI system users in effective use of management systems.

Assist with the production and maintenance of professional, user-friendly documentation and training materials;

Additional responsibilities may be necessary depending on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 6

: Minimum of 3 years experience and a Bachelor's degree or 1 year of experience and a Master's Degree.

Grade 7

: Minimum of 4 years experience and a Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience and a Master's Degree.

Grade 8

: Minimum of 5 years experience and a Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience and a Master's Degree.

Grade 9:

Minimum of 7 years experience and a Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience and a Master's Degree.

(Equivalent combination of training and/or experience will be considered);

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem solving skills

Demonstrated interest in systems and Information Technology field

Advanced MS Excel skills,

Proven ability to learn and update skills while on the job and adapt to changing information technology landscapes

Experience In oral and written communication including analysis, report preparation and report presentation

Proven ability to be flexible and work well under pressure, both individually and in a team environment, to meet deadlines

Ability to travel to all countries where DAI implements its projects, barring times when DAI Global security has deemed travel unsafe – (estimated travel requirement 30% - 40%).

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated interest in systems and Information Technology field with some knowledge of programming languages

Facilitation, training, and presentation experience.

Experience with gathering user requirements, developing system documentation, testing or analytical business reports

Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, PowerBI, and/or SQL

Proficiency in a second language.
