Job Summary

Responsible for leveraging internal and external data to provide modeling insights and information to support a fact-based decision-making process. The role overlaps with many disciplines, such as Data Engineering, Modeling and Ops. Provides input into machine learning processes, strategy, analysis methods, and tool selection. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and business-critical environment. May lead teams or interns or projects and shares expertise with the entire team.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, and operate MLOps pipelines to productionize and scale AI/ML models using Agile and CI/CD DevOps principles

Operate large-scale data pipelines that utilize online & offline data, structured & unstructured data, petabytes of data (media/behavioral/attitudinal) to build & operate customer-centric models and optimization tools.

Partners with internal clients to enhance understanding of business functions and informational needs to create sophisticated data solutions to business problems.

Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team spanning data science, product, and engineering to build new models features

Involved in complex projects using a wide breadth of data sciences and advanced techniques.

Assist to develop and deploy predictive models leveraging ML algorithms based on historical data that provide future predictions about customer behaviors

Understand, comply with, and enforce team policies and procedures, especially those for quality, efficiency, and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established milestones

Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve the quality of ML workflows

Keen on learning about various tools and techniques for data wrangling and pipelining.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work in variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Required Skills

Experience building and running stable, scalable pipelines to structure and integrate Big Data in the solutions.

Knowledge of distributed computing with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark is a must

Strong programming background with analytic and algorithmic skills in Scala/Java/Python

Hands-on development experience in Spark and/or PySpark

Spark optimization and performance tuning knowledge

Databricks experience preferred

Ensures that all code is developed in a well-structured and modularized fashion

Technical documentation skills to document development activities and decisions.

Desired Technical Experience

Expert working within enterprise data warehouse environments platforms (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, etc.) and working within distributed computing platforms such as Hadoop and associated technologies such as SQL, HQL, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Sqoop and Hive.

Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Elastic Search, MinIO object storage is a huge plus

Familiarity with Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS or similar cloud platforms is a plus

Basic understanding of Agile and CI/CD DevOps principles

Experience with designing, building, and deploying MLOps pipelines to productionize and scaling successful AI/ML models

Basic to Intermediate level proficiency in a variety of modeling techniques and when/how to apply to problems: Statistical modeling, Supervised/Unsupervised machine learning,

Knowledge in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras

Experience in building, training, and testing AI/ML models based on the data

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Significant and relevant experience may also suffice.

7 years of professional experience in data engineering role

5 years of programming experience, preferably Python
