Maintains the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computers, such as servers. Ensures that the uptime, performance, resources and security of the computers he or she manages meet the needs of the users.

Senior 60-84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. 12 months of experience with SMP/E software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.

72 months of experience with zOS JCL authoring, job submissions, and output review.

36 months of experience with JES2 management and troubleshooting including remote nodes.

12 months of experience with IBM VTS7000 series administration including virtual tape creation, review and allocation.

12 months experience with IBM DS8000 series administration of CKD storage.

12 months of experience with IBM zSeries HMC operations for hardware setup and monitoring.

6 months of experience with IBM zSeries IODF management of I/O configurations.

6 months of experience with IBM zSeries HCD mapping of existing configurations and supporting future expansion.

12 months of experience with Broadcom ESP software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.

12 months of experience with Broadcom CA-1 TMS software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.

6 months of experience with LRS VPS installation and maintenance of devices.

12 months of experience with Broadcom Top Secret software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.
