The Johnson Controls Global Information Security (GIS) team

is undergoing a transformation and expansion as Johnson Controls increases its

cybersecurity resources and capabilities in order to address the ever-changing

cybersecurity threat landscape.  

The successful candidate will be a leader and analytical

thinker capable of leading a world-class insider threat program, finding

patterns in systems and behavior which provide early indication of unauthorized

movement and disclosure of sensitive information. This role reports directly to

the Johnson Controls Chief Information Security Officer.

The candidate will be able to articulate thoughts clearly,

plan initiatives, and execute with appropriate urgency. The candidate will

demonstrate drive, intelligence, maturity, and energy and will be a proven

change leader. The candidate will possess a high degree of business acumen and

must have a “real world” perspective in order to effectively lead interactions

with the leaders in the Business Units. 

How you will do it

Leads the Information Security – Information

Protection department, consisting of Data Protection, Information

Classification Assurance, and Crown Jewel teams.Establishes criteria for critical and sensitive

information in collaboration with Legal and Compliance stakeholders.Responsible for engagement with business units,

markets, and functions (B/M/F) in order to establish thresholds and tolerances

for movement of company information, especially to non-JCI owned repositories

or recipients.Leads the JCI Insider Threat program, including

both intentional and unintentional insider threat, partnering with the Ethics

Office according to established rules of engagement.In collaboration with the Chief Information

Security Officer, develops the Information Protection strategy, including

supporting formal processes and procedures.Through regular business engagement to determine

the enterprise Cybersecurity Crown Jewels, provides regular updates to the list

for use by other Information Security and IT departments for prioritization of

protection, detection, and response.Regularly updates Information Security and IT

management on the overall protection posture of JCI information assets.

','!*!What we look for Knowledgeable security leader with demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity concepts and practicesMinimum 15 years working in cybersecurity, intelligence, or investigations, with 5 years management experience in investigations pertaining to insider threat. Experience with risk management disciplines and audit/assurance practices.Strategic leader with demonstrated ability to align security requirements with business objectives.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate and drive organizational change.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.In addition, given the global nature of the company’s operations, the successful candidate is expected to be internationally mobile. Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent, master’s degree preferred.Past Counterintelligence experience, especially management of Counterintelligence investigations, strongly preferred.Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent security or intelligence credentials.','Information Systems','US-WI-Milwaukee','','Corporate','Exempt','Exempt','Director Information Protection
