Job Description
* Provide Level 2 Help Desk production support through the Remedy Help Desk application for the deployed SAP ERP System.
* Interact effectively with Government users and program management, as well as project team members and management. Communicate status to the relevant team leaders in accordance with program procedures.
* Must be able to work in 7X24X365 environment, meaning night shift and/or weekends.
* Performs complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules.
* Applies advanced technical knowledge in the programming, testing, and debugging of SAP modules. DSDIS
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters / Years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement 2 years experience working in a Support Center for information technology enterprise applications Must be US Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. . KNOWLEDGE OF:
* SAP ABAP Programming Tools including Report and Transaction creation, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, SAPscript, and Smart Forms.
* Application of OSS notes. ABILITY TO:
* Develop and code difficult and complex programs for SAP modules.
* Analyze problems in programs.
* Recognize the critical elements of application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations.
* Work effectively and independently on assigned projects.
* Code SAP modules and complex functions using ABAP programming language.
* Troubleshoot and correct SAP module problems by using ABAP programming language to implement OSS notes.
* Modify system screens to provide default values and eliminate unnecessary fields using transaction variants.
* Interface with business analysts to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures to information technology.
* Assist in defining technical requirements for on-going systems maintenance and future functionality.
* Provide technical support to users on matters related to the programming of SAP modules.
* Prepare comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation including specifications, test conditions, test plans, test data, etc.
* Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners. Perform related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
* Solid understanding of the software life cycle.
* Application experience preferably with SAP Supply, Maintenance and Warehouse functional areas.
* Prior Army experience in logistics would be a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
