GlobalTechnical Services, LLC (GTS) has an immediate opening a System/ Security Administrator Tier 2 to work on a government project in the vicinity of Washington DC. This position requires the candidate to work as part of a Security Operations Center team in a 24 x 7 environment. The ideal candidates will be responsible for activities related to security application administration and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide operational/engineering support for the design, development, and implementation of the organization’s network and security operations center.
Monitor, tune, set standards, document, and support a broad range of security applications that will have transactional dependency on the application firewalls.
Post- deployment testing and monitoring to ensure rules are working as intended.
Troubleshooting system and application failures.
Testing and implementing patches and software modifications to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Address and resolve critical system issues on a 24X7 basis including notification, escalation and coordination across the organization.
Submit ongoing status reports on daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Job Requirements :
Required:
Network and Security troubleshooting and testing experience.
Skills in preparing detailed network security diagrams.
Skills in COTS based IP and URL tool sets
Skills in conducting vendor comparisons (i.e. Decision, Analysis, and Resolution – DAR)
2 years with security control device skills (firewalls, application firewalls)
Skilled with Microsoft OS Security
Skills with vulnerability assessment tools
Preferred:
Certifications a plus i.e. CEH, CCNA-S, CISSP

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to recieve a Secret/ SSBI clearance. (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
