Responsibilities Include:
This position is as a Nuclear Cyber Security Specialist in the Cybercore Integration Center of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s (INL) National & Homeland Security Directorate. Cybercore's nuclear cyber security. Subject Matter Experts are expected to present cyber security-related training courses, develop content and hardware mock-up demonstrations for use in those courses, provide nuclear cyber-related policy guidance, conduct cyber assessments of nuclear power facilities and provide strategic guidance for cyber security to stakeholders in the nuclear arena. While driven by INL, this work is sponsored by the US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration/Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation (DNN) organization and other US government agencies, the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as private sector entities in the US and abroad.
This requires a person with technical domain expertise in the fields of cyber, nuclear safety, nuclear material accounting and control, physical protection of nuclear-related facilities, and training content development. A self directed person with outstanding writing skills for drafting training course content and policy guidance, and excellent verbal skills for conducting briefings and presenting to US and foreign students. This is based at INL's Research and Education Campus in Idaho Falls, ID, but it requires frequent domestic and foreign travel. Also, since Cybercore's other Nuclear Cyber Security Specialists are typically geographically dispersed, this position often requires work in a virtual team environment.
Overall Responsibilities Include:
Technical subject matter expertise in the fields of cyber security, nuclear plant operations, nuclear safety, industrial control systems, physical security, nuclear material accounting and control, and cyber training content development.
Self-starter with outstanding writing skills for drafting training course content and policy guidance, and excellent verbal skills for conducting briefings and presenting to US and foreign audiences.
Frequent domestic and foreign travel, and because many of Cybercore's Specialists are typically geographically dispersed, this position often requires work in a virtual team environment.
Required to represent INL leadership, DOE/NNSA’s Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation (DNN) and various other USG entities.
International travel, often weeks at a time and in dynamic conditions, and without the need for external supervisor guidance, must also be able to demonstrate tact and cultural sensitivities at all times.
Forming and leading key partnerships with other national laboratories, universities, governing authorities, and international organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
Baccalaureate plus 5 - 8 years of validated experience, or Masters plus 3 - 6 years of validated experience; or Doctorate and 2 - 4 years of validated experience.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance and SCI, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally, sometimes for multiple weeks.

Job Information
Salary Grade PR0300 - 210 ($93,492 - $154,212) or Salary Grade PR0400 - 220 ($107,520 - $177,336)
