The Senior Data Protection Engineer guides cross-functional development teams with embedding privacy and data protection techniques while building or enhancing data solutions to ensure proper level of authorization and data classifications. The Senior Data Protection Engineer makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for solution components, and work is performed with little to no direction. Additionally, this individual will be expected to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

The Senior Technical Leader, Data Protection Engineering will function as a key team member that integrates complex solutions into the ecosystem while accomplishing business and IT goals and objectives. A unique set of tactical and strategic approaches and thought process is required to execute objectives in the most effective, efficient, and economical manner. This will include an approach leveraging technical and tactical methods for performing, delegating and guiding the following tasks: planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation and maintenance according to the Humana Systems Development Life Cycle.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

5 or more years' experience complex IT projects

3 years' experience in complex IT solution integrations

2 years as project leader experience in complex IT projects

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in a Technical Field

Security Certifications

Cloud certification(s)

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
