Senior Data Management Lead','190403','','Cox Communications','!*!Serve as a Senior Data Management Lead as part of the Information Management team enabling BI, Reporting and Analytics across Cox Communications. This key function is part of the Data Support Systems within the Technology organization. This role enables and delivers on program initiatives, projects and operations across:• Data Blueprint: Interactive and current heatmap of data penetration of enterprise data platforms• Data Management: Access and Controls, Lifecycle Mgmt., Audits, Compliance and Security• Data Quality: Manage customer requests, conduct data analysis/profiling and develop estimates• Data Stewardship: Customer adoption of Information Portal (catalog, glossary) and data SME supportPrimary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:• Develop and maintain an interactive data blueprint (classify/organize data) that resides in enterprise data platforms to include: Operational Data Store (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Lake (Hadoop) and future footprint (Cloud). • Develop a common/semi-automated process to include governance approvals, compliance and security requirements for users requesting access to data platforms (ODS, EDW, Data Lake, Cloud).• Develop data management goals and execute requirements (classification, security assessment coordination, Records Information Mgmt. compliance and decommissioning data).• Serve as a key liaison and partner with Security team to establish goals to classify and protect data.• Formalize existing data audit process and tag security, compliance, governance and usage.• Initiate and support research of new technologies in data management to automate and optimize.• Determine and recommend Proof of Concepts and architectural design to grow and scale.• Establish a common set of operational metrics/dashboards for data management.• Manage the Information Portal request queue, provide data SME support services and ROM estimate.• Create a process and dashboard for Information Portal request queue, workflow and SLA.• Support the solution definition (assess and estimate data management deliverables) for projects.• Support team leader in vendor resource assignment and measurement of quality deliverables.• Establish a project delivery dashboard and tracking mechanism for team deliverables.','','','!*!Minimum:• 8 years of work experience in conjunction with bachelor’s degree.• Demonstrated Data Mgmt. experience - access, lifecycle, governance, security and compliance.• Work experience with platforms to include Operational Data Store, Data Warehouse/Marts & Big Data• Ability to conduct data analysis with PL/SQL and other querying tools.• Demonstrated knowledge of the design and production of computerized data queries and reports. • Demonstrated experience in project delivery – execution of data requirements, mapping and analysis.• Must demonstrate strong people leadership skills, project management and communication skills.Preferred:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or MIS or similar degree.• Experience with metadata and data quality execution and tools• Experience with Informatica, XML, and ETL processes a plus• Experience in regulatory and compliance initiatives such as GPDR, FCC, SEC and other government/federal laws and regulations• Experience in data management strategy for digital transformation and cloud technologies','!*!About Cox Communications Cox Communications is a broadband communications and entertainment company, providing advanced digital video, Internet, telephone and home security and automation services over its own nationwide IP network.
