Solutions Consultant Are you a Technical Subject Matter Expert looking to work alongside other Benefits experts to help identify new client needs? The primary focus of the Solution consultant is to communicate product suite and enrollment value propositions externally to prospective clients. The Solution consultant is responsible for assisting with the sales process from prospect stage through the hand-off to the implementation team and signed contract. In addition, the Solution consultant is responsible for coordinating Voluntary Benefits Carrier and Product evaluation and selection.  As a key sales stakeholder, they will also collaborate with the Lead Sales Consultants on recommendations and enhancements to help us achieve excellence in sales delivery. Job Responsibilities:Manage multiple projects concurrentlyMaintains subject matter expertise on Voluntary Benefit products and Voluntary Benefit carriersMaintains expertise in proprietary and 3rd party Benefits Administration systemsArticulates and communicates value proposition and key differentiatorsDevelops a high level working knowledge of other practice area solutionsCollaborates with Sales Leaders to communicate market knowledge and sales process and to keep abreast of operationsPartners with practice consulting arm to strengthen integrationEducates Sales Consultants on specific strategies, solutions, and industry changesMaintains Request for Proposal (RFP) ContentPartners with internal partners for Request for Proposal (RFP) requests to ensure a streamlined and efficient processSales Process and Meetings Assists Sales Leaders in the development of prospect sales strategyResponsible for defining the scope for the engagementEnables and articulates a strong value-based message on any sales opportunitiesLeads system demonstration in sales meetingsPrepares follow up client/TPE/carrier question responses with Sales LeadersPerforms due diligence to scope work and provide input to strategic questions required for defining the opportunity.Works with the Sales Leaders to request missing information from the Third Party Evaluator (TPE), client or carriersReviews discovery document outlining the detailed solutionTailors materials and demo based on solution, client need and competitive landscapeCollaborates on Carrier and Product SelectionAssists on Contract/Statement of Work creation and execution How this opportunity is different This is a unique opportunity at AON to be on the front lines of one of the fastest growing segments within the company.  This role is true client consulting to help clients meet unmet and unfulfilled needs with innovative solutions for open enrollment engagement, voluntary benefit product suite and technology.  Skills and experience that will lead to successThree plus years of employee benefits industry experienceThree plus years managing project schedulesExperience working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environmentInterpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as operations, product management, and the development team).Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
