IT Process Lead-Resource Capacity Manager

JOB SUMMARY

CARILION CLINIC - TECHNOLOGY SERVICES GROUP (TSG) is seeking a seasoned Process Lead to assign staff to our projects. You will be determining personnel requirements, providing ongoing support to project managers, and collaborating on resource management with multiple teams within our organization.

To ensure success as a Process Lead, you should possess extensive knowledge of resource capacity planning and allocation and ideally have experience in a similar industry. A first-class resource lead will be someone who can accurately assess resource needs and provide sufficient capacity to realize projects' goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED:

*Assigning available staff to projects based on their skills & experience. *Providing Project Managers with ongoing resource management and related support. *Utilizing software applications to monitor employee utilization, workload, time tracking. *Mitigating resource concerns by relocating resources, adjusting goals, or assigning additional staff.  *Collaborating on resource management with internal departments. *Documenting processes and maintaining records. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High school degree required. Associates/Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business or equivalent experience required.  Master's degree preferred.  

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of eight years of related experience is required. Advanced knowledge of office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, email and presentation software) required. 5 years of experience in project resource capacity management highly preferred.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES: Proficiency in project management software. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Maintain application vendor certifications as needed.  ITIL V3 Foundation Certification required. Valid VA driver's license.  PMP preferred.

OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must be a self-initiated team player that can work under little supervision, with strong organizational and analytical skills. *Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting and serve as a mentor to others in the department.  *Must be capable of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. *Effective oral and written communication, presentation and problem solving skills required. *Will require on-call for coverage. *Primary business hours Monday-Friday with weekend, holiday and on call coverage as needed.
