Provides analytical support to the North American Clean Air Finance Organization. Performs ad-hoc analysis; prepares monthly / quarterly internal / external reporting packages, consolidates financial reporting, supports financial systems updates/ maintenance. Ability to perform accurate, timely financial analysis and provides recommendations. Contributes to the strategic and annual operating plans.

Supports Clean Air month-end close process by reviewing financial data, performs analysis and prepares consolidated reporting packages timely for distribution to leadership team.

Ensures financial reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies.

Performs ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by leadership team.

Supports the business planning processes (strategic plan, annual operating plan and monthly forecasts).

Engages with BU leaders, plant controller, finance team in all aspects of financial and operations reporting.

Actively participates in the implementation of financial systems, tools, procedure / policies.

Reviews Balance Sheet and ensures internal audit processes and controls are operating effectively.

Other duties as assigned.

* this position will be located in Monroe, MI for the first 4-6 months before moving to Northville.

Required Experience

Education / Experience

Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet demanding deadlines.

Solid project management, financial analysis, and communication skills.

Excellent PC skills – Experience with SAP, Oracle / Hyperion, and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel)

Excellent team skills.

Ability to set goals and deliver timely and accurate results.

Ability to conduct research and provide effective recommendations.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.

Vision abilities required include close vision.

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
