ARMA Global is seeking a qualified candidate to provide Database Manager provides services to support advanced customer cloud-based systems, acquisitions, and operations. The Database Manager will support multiple databases in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment including MS SQL Server, Postgre, MongoDB and Amazon RDS. Must be able to support the infrastructure and provide technical advice and consulting implementing new capabilities. Must be able to assist with queries and reports. Design solutions to provide cost savings while maintaining SLAs.

Analyzes customer requirements and develops technical solutions to complex problems.

Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases.

Designs xAPI schema for integration of several applications in the Cloud

Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.

Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods

Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.

Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.

Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment.

Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Provides advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced database personnel.

May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

Desired education and experience:

BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10 years of experience
