It, Security Clearance
Assists in providing network administration services to support the installed hardware and software at the Primary and Backup sites.
Network administration tasks shall include: Install, secure, and maintain network hardware and software.
Perform network troubleshooting, management, configuration and routine hardware and software maintenance.
Support development efforts, security patch testing and installation,testing, and configuration management tasks.
Install, configure and manage switches, routers, and other network infrastructure equipment.
Maintain, routing tables, operating systems, security patches, and upgrades.
Manage and control network IP ranges.
*Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
Designs, builds, and implements network systems.
Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
Troubleshoots network performance issues.
Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.
Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products.
Performs complex operations that involve two or more additional functions such as, but not limited to, network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities.
Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network.
Maintain daily, weekly and monthly scheduled network backups.
Restore data to support systems and data recovery due to hardware, software or user error.
Support connectivity of other systems to networks and troubleshoot connectivity problems.
Serve as a Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment custodian manager and perform required COMSEC inventory.
Possess Bachelor's Degree in an IT or related field; or Associate's Degree and 5 years IT related experience.
Minimum of 3 years working in an IT or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Cisco switches and Firewalls, Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) technologies and protocols,Virtual LAN (VLAN) and VLAN trunking, Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM),NetApp support, KIV-7M, Network support for domain controllers, network security Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC), McAfee IDS/IPS, tape backup,Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Networks, SQL servers, back-up servers, and web servers.
Minimum of 3 years DoD, or other Government Agency experience.
Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
Meet IAT Level 1 Certification requirements in accordance with DoD 8570 (A , CCNA-Security, Network or, SSCP)
