We are seeking a Project Manager to join its growing team. The qualified applicant will lead a project team bringing state of the art data analytics capabilities for a federal agency located in Washington, DC. This position plays a key role in supporting the agency's implementation of strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of approximately 20 resources made up of data scientists, analysts, engineers and subject matter experts

Serve as primary Point of Contact among Federal stakeholders and the Synectics team. Maintain liaison between project team and Federal stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of all project work

Develop vision, strategy and roadmap for project implementation

Work with Federal customers and business stakeholders to define, gather, refine and prioritize business requirements

Perform direct management of the team's tasks and expectations from multiple requests and sources of the project

Establish and maintain task/project schedules

Prepare and adhere to project budget, staffing, risk management, subcontractor management and communications plans

Work with Synectics Management on project estimation, resource planning, process compliance and tracking

Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT/ Systems, or related field

15 years overall experience in information technology contracts for government agencies or equivalent

5 years of experience in managing implementation of data analytics

Demonstrated experience working in advanced data analytics, data visualization and business intelligence projects

Experience in implementation using Agile methodologies

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong Soft skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities in a fast paced environment.

Experience working on a project at Federal Agency

Mastery of project management methodology, tools and templates (includes program/project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management)

Demonstrated experience working under CMMI3-Dev, ISO-9001, and ISO 27001 quality control environments.

Desired Skills:

Master's degree in Computer Science, IT/Systems, or related field. Can substitute for 2 years' experience

Experience working with HUD or related subject matter expertise

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

SCRUM or other agile certification
