The New York State Board of Elections (NYSBoE) is seeking a senior-level Network Architect with extensive network design and management experience to supplement the NYSBoE network infrastructure team.

The candidate will be expected to: Participate in analysis, design and implementation of NYSBoE's LAN/WAN network infrastructure.

Participate with NYSBoE technical staff in network modeling and analysis to achieve a highly secure network infrastructure, including segmentation of core systems and services.

Participate in implementation and management of NYSBoE's network infrastructure at the agency's two data centers, the primary business office (wired and wireless), site-to-site VPNs with all NYS counties and vendors, and connectivity between all sites and the Internet through Layer 2 and third-party connections

Monitor and manage network security and resolve or assist in resolution of any issues identified.

Designs and implements computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning

Senior: 60 84 months, Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. 60 months experience in network modeling, planning, analysis and design of LAN/WAN technologies

60 months experience implementing and documenting new network technology solutions

60 months experience implementing and managing with Cisco IOS (Routing, Switching and Firewalling) and Dell networking

60 months experience implementing and managing F5 BIG IP appliances

36 months experience implementing and managing Checkpoint Security appliances and gateways.

36 months experience implementing and managing RADIUS servers for wireless client authentication in a Windows environment

60 months experience implementing and managing site-to-site VPN Tunnels including troubleshooting

12 months experience implementing and managing Cisco FirePower / FireSight and / or SourceFire Snort products

60 months experience creating technical documentation

Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field from an accredited institution
