Title: Model 204 Sr. Programmer

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: through 7/31/24

Role:

Under the direction of the Client, the senior programmer will be responsible for performing coding, testing, debugging, and analysis for changes and enhancements

The candidate's primary responsibilities are to:

Write or modify computer programs based on previously developed and approved program specifications/system change notices.

Analyze requirements and propose necessary system modifications. Document the changes in programming specifications/system change notices as per unit standards and receive the appropriate signoffs.

Create/modify z/OS Job Control Language (JCL) necessary to run batch jobs

Develop or assist with the development of test plans and test data.

Perform unit testing of changes using an approved test plan, correct errors as necessary.

Verify documentation is complete, organized and readily available.

Assist in the transfer of knowledge of business programming and business logic to other non-M204 development teams for future modernization project.

Keep team leader and/or supervisor informed of progress and status of all assignments.

Field(s) of Study / requirements:

Math, Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred. Bachelor's Degree required with at least 6 years relevant experience.

Required Skills:

72 Months experience in software design and development of enterprise-level applications using Model204.

60 Months of experience in systems analysis.

24 Months experience creating z/OS Job Control Language (JCL).

24 Months of experience in troubleshooting and resolving user issues.

24 Months experience creating unit

Preferred Skills:

Software typically used includes Rocket Model204 (M204) User Language, z/OS Job Control Language (JCL), Janus Web Services.
