Technology Lead Front End

Critical Mass is currently looking for a Front End Technology Lead. As Technology Lead you’ll be tasked with delivering on fast paced, creative, and robust projects. You’ll put your knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build accessible, scalable, and performant web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Delivery, Creative, QA and DevOps team members through each iteration of work, helping to push your project to the finish line. Previous leadership experience will be key to guiding & mentoring a small team of developers through day to day problems, as well as ensuring a high quality of work.

This position can be done remotely dependent on location.

You will

Work with the Technology Director on strategic initiatives and campaign work.

Scope technical components of overall solutions accurately.

Enforce the BMW development process and ensure appropriate project documentation.

Provide hands-on development support to project team where necessary.

Contribute to solution architecture designs and lead code reviews.

Understand technical complexities of multi-tiered web solutions and ensure appropriate design solutions are achieved.

Be a liaison to the Hangar development team.

You have

5 years previous experience working as Senior Software Engineer.

Strong fundamental knowledge of ES6 JavaScript outside of any library/framework abstraction.

Experience managing development and delivery of commercial websites or web apps.

Familiarity with website operations and fluency in the typical tiers on a high traffic website.

Advanced ability to analyze business requirements quickly to determine and assess feasibility.

Detailed problem solver and troubleshooting experiencing.

Experience managing or leading a team of development, QA, and DevOps talent.

Nice to have

Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools - JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.

Adobe Experience Manager on version 6.4 or later.

Experience with Vue.js.

Experience with Webpack, or other tools used to optimize and maintain front-end build systems.

Experience working in an agency and/or creative and/or technical consultancy environment.
