October 21, 2012 — Pasadena, California — The annual salary survey carried out by Robert Half Technology released this week shows that mobile apps developers are set to receive the biggest pay hike(9 percent) among all IT professionals in 2013.

The salary guide has projections on which IT jobs will see the fastest growth next year, which ones will see slow growth and also the top ten best paid and top ten least paid positions in the IT industry.

InformationTechnologyCrossing.com, a job search site dedicated to listing IT jobs, has also found several thousand jobs in the IT fields that are expected to see fast growth. The site lists almost 3,000 mobile developer jobs among the 244,000 IT jobs on the site.

The other hot IT jobs are – wireless network engineer, data modeler, data warehouse manager, senior web developer, BI analyst and network architect. The survey says that all these job titles should see an income growth of over 7 percent next year. Computer operators and desktop support analysts are supposed to see the least growth in terms of income (less than 2 percent).

The ten best positions in terms of pay for the next year include data architect, where the pay range is from $104,000 to $143,000. InformationTechnologyCrossing currently has 12,500 data architect job openings on its site. The highest paid position is that of the CIO, where the salary range according to the survey is $145,000 to $234,000. Chief Technology Officer Jobs are next in line where the pay is expected to be $125,000 to $195,000. InformationTechnologyCrossing.com has found 250 job openings for both CTO and CIO positions.
