SAP Architect Jobs description
The essential functions of an SAP architect is providing technical and functional expertise in order to plan, analyze and define high-level software strategies and determine technical inadequacies and deficiencies that affect the functional areas and technical scope for the program, designing the framework of a technical infrastructure, supervision of configuration changes, supervision and analysis of designs and their implementation as well as supervision of the designs, codes and tests of program modules. It is the responsibility of an SAP architect to monitor the maintenance; repair and tuning of applications and implement maintenance activities, apply SAP support packages, software patches and system refreshes, administer SAP portal security, maintain and update SAP Enterprise Portal and perform SAP system check on regular basis. He/she is responsible for deploying an application as well utilizing effective procedures for improvement of applications and integrating technical and application components. Also, an SAP architect assists in the decision of potential vendors of software applications.An SAP architect should possess the knowledge of SAP systems landscapes consisting of mySAP, BW/BI,XI/PI,Portal and Solution Manager, SAP correction and transport system, SAP administration standards, policies and procedures.
